Sol de Janeiro’s Bum Bum Cream is one of my all time favourite body products ever so I was very excited to try the new Sol de Janeiro Beija Flor Elasti-Cream. Smelling great is a big thing when it comes to this brand, and this one smells like Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s much loved Baccarat Rouge 540. Here is everything you need to know.
What is Sol de Janeiro Beija Flor Elasti-Cream?
The new body cream from Sol de Janeiro is formulated with Vegan Collagen and Cacay Oil, which is a natural alternative to retinol.
It is formulated to:
- Hydrate, nourish and plump up the skin
- Cacay oil is a gentle active that works to restore radiance to dull skin
- Infused with squalane to moisturise and protect against moisture loss
- It is clinically proven to boost collagen levels and cell turnover

Key Ingredients
- Cacay Oil: gentle retinol alternative that mimics the benefits of retinol without irritation and works to support the cellular renewal process. It is a cold-pressed oil drawn from the seeds of the Cacay tree.
- Vegan Collagen: vegan-certified amino acid blend works to maintain the skin’s natural collagen supply and keep levels topped up
- Plant Squalane: moisturises and plumps the skin, deeply hydrates and prevents moisture loss and increases skin’s suppleness and resilience.
My Review of Sol de Janeiro Beija Flor
This cream has a lot to live up to because I am literally obsessed with Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Cream. The Bum Bum Cream gift sets have featured in my Christmas Gift Guide since the day I discovered it.
It smells amazing, makes my skin look and feel amazing, and I have been through tubs and tubs of it. I think I first started using it in about 2017. You can read my review here.
The big question is, what does Sol de Janeiro Beija Flor smell like? Well I won’t be the first one to say that is definitely has a distinct Baccarat Rouge 540 air about it.
It isn’t an exact dupe and it much lighter and less heady, but the likeness is very much there, and considering that the Maison Francis Kurkdjian fragrance is super expensive, this is a very affordable way to get the scent.
Also, it would certainly be the most gorgeous body cream to layer under the the Baccarat Rouge. The Sol de Janiero Beja Flor has a beautiful light fragrance (it’s the brand’s Cheirosa ’68 scent) and it’s all about Brazilian jasmine, pink dragonfruit, ocean air and vanilla. It is gorgeous.
I love the Brazilian Bum Bum Cream scent so much, but this is great for a more floral and less salty caramel vibe.
As for the texture, it has the same rich luscious, glossy feel that my much loved Bum Bum Cream has, and it melts into the skin effortlessly leaving it looking smooth, plumped up, and glowing. If you want to kick the skin on your body into shape for Summer, this will certainly help.
