Over the years, I’ve constantly been looking for a product to help me with my skin. Some people say freckles are beautiful and I certainly agree. However, for my own personal confidence I tend to wear full coverage makeup. I don’t feel quite ‘right’ without covering my freckles up. So whenever I see a new cream that promises to fade dark spots, I’ll be one of the first to try it. Which is why I was really looking forward to trying SkinCeuticals Advanced Pigment Corrector.
SkinCeuticals is a brand whose products I have loved before, so I had high hopes for this cream.
The cream is a daily multi-action treatment which aims to reduce the appearance of stubborn skin discoloration. It also aims to improve your skin tone overall. In addition, it provides moisturisation after cleansing each night.
I have used this daily for over four weeks now and I am sadly yet to feel more confident in my skin. This could well stem from my own issues (!) but I don’t think it’s made a difference to my freckles or my skin tone.
The packaging is sleek and simple with a pump applicator. I found that I needed at least 3-4 pumps to feel satisfied with the amount of product on my face. This is not 100% ideal as it’s not a budget product.
For an expensive product, I was left feeling disappointed. I believe that if you have some very slight issues with your skin tone or perhaps a certain dark spot that you’d like to try and fade then this could be for you.
However, if you have quite a large amount of freckles or serious pigmentation, then from my experience it might be difficult to remove it with this product.
I recommend reading more reviews on this product if you are interested in it. There are mixed reviews, with the majority of them positive. Personally though, it didn’t work for me, unfortunately.
