When I was asked what kind of fragrance I liked by the Sana Jardin PR, I said “I love warm, rich fragrances – the kind that say hello before I do”, and so she sent me Sana Jardin Tiger By Her Side Eau de Parfum to try. Here’s how I got on.

A Tiger By Her Side is a fusion of frankincense with amber and Moroccan rose. The blend is designed to offer its wearer focus, protection, and empowerment, with a soothing and healing vibe.

Top Notes – Bergamot, Cinnamon Bark, Coriander Seed

Heart Notes – Rose Absolute Morocco, Patchouli, Benzoin

My Review of Tiger By Her Side

Amy Christiansen, founder of Sana Jardin, describes Tiger By Her Side as ‘the red lipstick of fragrance’, and I think this captures the vibe of this scent perfectly.

Amy’s inspiration for this fragrance was from Ancient Egyptian mythology that high priestesses of ancient Egypt used essential oils to center and calm their spirits so that they could keep wild animals at bay. Sana Jardin Tiger By Her Side is designed to be your ‘power in a bottle.’

I absolutely love this idea because I have always used fragrance to complement or add an aspect to my personality that I feel I lack. It gives me confidence and can really bolster me up. Because I am not a very serious person, and can be a bit silly at times, I sometimes worry that people find it hard to take me seriously. So I use serious fragrances to give me that edge.

Tiger By Her Side completely ticks that box for me. With its soft and smooth base notes of vanilla and frankincense, it delivers a rich and opulent aroma that really does make me feel like a grown up!

I love the heart of Moroccan rose and patchouli which gives it feminine softness without it being too floral. The Patchouli gives it that earthy edge I love. Also, it has bergamot in the top note which I find incredibly motivating. It really does get me feeling proactive and grounded.

Although it’s all about power, I feel that this makes the perfect everyday fragrance because interestingly, it isn’t at all overpowering and is extremely wearable.

The dry down is divine. It has that gorgeous warmth of cedarwood with a hint of vanilla wrapped in amber. It lasts really well on my skin with a very cosy feeling. Like I said, there’s nothing overpowering about it; it’s like a quiet confidence. I love it.

I really like the packaging. It has a simple glass bottle and the oversized cap gives it a fun yet chic edge that looks so good on my dressing table.

I also love the sustainable ethics behind this brand.
