I own a lot of Real Techniques brushes and what I love about them most is how versatile and multi-use they are. I use the Setting Brush for blending concealer, the Sculpting Brush for applying foundation, and the list of rule-breaking goes on and on. With the launch of the new Real Techniques MultiTech Brushes, the brand and Sam and Nic have used this versatility as the focus of the whole product range right through from concept to design and labeling. It’s really interesting. Also, the brushes are BEAUTIFUL!

They are available HERE now.

First of all, the key thing to get your head around with this collection is that each one is a makeup brush that you can use wherever you think it will work on your face. Therefore, there is no foundation brush, or eyeshadow brush, or even a simple powder brush. There is just one brush, called the Real Techniques MultiTech Point, in a range of different sizes from XXXS to XXXL. Each brush has exactly the same cut, which can be used for creams, liquids and powders, and as a result of this, it is entirely up to you how you use them.

Of course the sizes will help make up your mind – no one wants to be applying eyeshadow with a brush as large as your fist – but there are no rules and you can let your inner makeup artist make all his or her own decisions!

With all the brushes (and the sponge), the idea is that you utilise the different angles for the different areas of your face. The tapered point is able to pick up product and give precise application while the wide base is perfect for blending. And this works across every single product in the range.

The brushes are gorgeously soft. If you have a thing for good brushes like me, you will have a thing for these for sure! I have tried all the brushes out and they are really brilliant. Application and blending is great and they are so enjoyable to use. They are my new favourites for sure. It’s excellent work.

I am yet to test out the sponge because I got totally distracted by the brushes, however, I am really looking forward to that. I go through phases with makeup sponges because I am obsessed with brushes but I have had great experience with Beauty Blender and it gives the most beautiful flawless, skin-like finish.
