Ah ha!! I have been stalking this set ever since I saw it on the Real Techniques US website. I am fairly obsessional about RT sets because they tend to include an exclusive brush, and this one is no exception. Here’s a look at the new Real Techniques Cheek and Lip Set with the exclusive Cheek Brush.

I am a massive fan of Real Techniques. I do love the Bold Metals collection, but the original style brushes are where my heart lies. I have about 5 buffing brushes and would never want to be without them!

So this is a limited edition set that contains what Real Techniques classify as finishing brushes. I am loving the intense pink shade of the handles. It is much more poppy than the original pink shade that the brand uses.

  • Duo-fiber Contour Brush – longer bristles gently apply contour product
  • Lip Brush – use the firm, tapered tip for lining and the flat side for filling in and blending

I absolutely love the cheek brush. It is so so soft and a great multi-tasker. I already have the Cheek Brush in silver from the Nic’s Picks Set (2014) and love using it for buffing in foundation.

In fact, most of the RT brushes are great for foundation. The tapered cut of the Cheek Brush also makes it great for a bit of contouring.

The Contour Brush is a lovely one. The longer white bristles pick up the right amount of product whilst the shorter black bristles gently buff it in. And as for the Lip Brush – this is really something I need to get into. I am a bit lazy when it comes to applying lipstick (which I am sure you will have noticed when it comes to my lip swatches!), and so I want to practice with this one to get a more perfected look.

The new brand look is great, and I am sure that Sam and Nic Chapman have lots more exciting things in store for 2016. Can’t wait.
