I have been using Piz Buin products for years now and I was so excited to try out their newest launch. Meet Piz Buin Protect And Cool, an SPF that has cooling benefits, and which will keep you fresh on the hottest of days. It is so important to keep your skin protected when spending time in the sun and as this has a lovely cooling effect it is perfect to use to reapply throughout the day – it actually makes me want to keep reapplying it because of this!

Protect and Cool is available in SPF 15 and 30, with protection from UVA and UVB rays. It comes in a mousse formula which I like as it feels lightweight on the skin and doesn’t take any time at all to sink in. Within seconds of application you feel refreshed and cooled, perfect for hot summer days when you are out enjoying the weather and could do with cooling down without having to go inside.

This SPF is free from alcohol so it isn’t going to dry out the skin; it actually feels quite hydrating. It has a non greasy and non sticky formula but I will say that you can definitely feel this on the skin so it isn’t completely lightweight once you have applied it. It also doesn’t leave behind any white marks from my experience.

For the past week or so I have been using this whenever I know I am going to be outside and I have been really impressed as I haven’t got sunburnt at all. I make sure to reapply this every few hours and more frequently if I am going to be sweating or swimming. This is the SPF I have been choosing to use over the drawer full of other sun creams I own, as I love the cooling effect because it is so refreshing!

I  also love that this is in a mousse formula as it is so quick to apply and it makes it so much easier to not miss any spots. It can also be used on the face- spray into your hands and then apply it that way, although personally I prefer to use a much higher SPF on my face as it does burn quite easily.
