OK I have to confess, the name made me want to try this cleanser more than anything else. I literally cannot resist the idea of a cloud when it comes to beauty – cloud paint, pink cloud, cloud cream. I want clouds on my skin it seems. Here’s the low down on the Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Cloud Cream Cleanser that I have been testing out.
Cleansers are up there with my favourite products in life. I love wearing makeup so much, but I also love to take it off, and there’s nothing like kicking off your skincare routine with a great cleanser. Speaking of which, I am so excited that The Ordinary are launching a full cleanser collection.
Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Cloud Cream Cleanser Features
- Non-stripping, fragrance free cream cleanser
- Gently removes makeup, oil and impurities
- Maintains skin moisture levels with Hyaluronic Acid
- Sodium PCA & Coconut Oil nourish the skin
- Marshmallow Root Extract softens and soothes the skin
I have to say, this is a nice cleanser but there’s something about the texture and scent that feels a little soapy to me. It does make my skin feel super clean and smooth but also a little tight and that I need to apply serums and moisturisers pretty quickly straight after. I think it would be a good one for oily skin types. It contains Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate which is great for foaming up and solubilising oil, but I’m not sure that my skin loves it too much.
I am much more of an oil-based cleanser girl I have to confess. If you like a nice foamy cleanser for a super clean feel, I think this could be worth a try.
The Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Cloud Cream Cleanser is available HERE now for £14.95 (regular price £19).
