I couldn’t resist trying out the brand new Paula’s Choice Omega+ Complex Cleansing Balm because it promises to deliver the most thorough cleanse, whilst being packed with skincare. Here’s what you need to know.
What is Paula’s Choice Omega+ Complex Cleansing Balm?
- Hydrates skin

- Leaves skin feeling soft, hydrated and refreshed without ever feeling greasy
- Omega fatty acids repair the skin barrier to strengthen the skin
- Meadowfoam seed oils soften and condition skin while helping to prevent moisture loss
Key Ingredients
CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE
Derived from coconut oil and glycerin, it’s considered an excellent emollient to moisturise and replenish skin.
MEADOWFOAM SEED OIL
Plant oil composed of long chain omega 9 fatty acids that acts as a softening agent in skincare and prevents moisture loss during cleansing.
JOJOBA OIL
Shown to enhance skin’s restorative properties and can also provide topical skin-soothing benefits.
How to use it
I use a small amount straight on to dry skin and massage it over for a minute or two, adding a splash of water half way to emulsify the formula.
I then simply rinse, or use a soft washcloth if I want a little bit more of an exfoliating action.

I absolutely love the texture of the Paula’s Choice Omega+ Complex Cleansing Balm. It is soft and balmy, and unlike many other balm cleansers, stays feeling balmy, rather than oily, as you work it into the skin.
The formula creates the most elegant slip over the skin and it really is such a pleasure to use.
It is very effective at lifting up makeup instantly and thoroughly cleansing the skin. It emulsifies easily with a little splash of water, and rinses away.
After one cleanse, I went over with a little micellar water just to test how well it removed all my makeup. It got rid of everything and I was really impressed how well it removed my eye makeup, which is usually the hardest part to really get everything off.
It leaves my skin feeling super soft and really hydrated, and although I’d probably use this as a first cleanse, it stands really well on its own. Love it.
