Aw I love Paul Smith so I am always up for an event where he’s involved. Last week I attended the launch for the latest fragrance in the Paul Smith portfolio, Portrait.

How gorgeous is that bottle? I am pretty obsessed by the soft pink juice and the rose gold casing – it’s a real little beauty.
I love a fruity floral and this is a fresh, green one with lots of soft spice and musk. Here’s the low-down:
Top Notes: Bergamot, Black Tea, Cardamom, Blackcurrant, Peach
Middle Notes: Wild Rose, Jasmine
Base Notes: Myrrh, Musk
Portrait for Women “paints a powerful picture of a garden full of Wild Roses but Myrrh and Mush give it a twist, elegance and depth and the Black Tea reminds us of exotic travel”.
Here is Paul Smith talking with new generation nose Barnabe Fillion who designed the fragrances (there’s also an EDT for men).

Interestingly, Barnabe Fillion is also a successful catwalk model and has actually shot campaigns for Paul Smith. This is how they met. When creating both Portrait scents, Barnabe worked to capture Paul’s life and personality.
The Paul Smith Portrait fragrance collection launches on 5th September 2013 nationwide. By the way, my boyfriend has been using Portrait for Men and he thinks it might be his favourite so far. They are both definitely worth a sniff!
