I was so excited to get my hands on the Pat McGrath Metalmorphosis 005 Everything Kit and get swatching it. There are ten products in the kit which I am showing you here. If intense metallics are your thing then you are going to love this.

Now I am not going to pretend that I didn’t feel a tad (ok a lot) out of my depth with this kit when I first poured it out in an avalanche of sequins.

But then I read “USE WITHOUT CAUTION” and I thought to myself, I don’t have to be a makeup artist to have fun with this, so I just got stuck in. It was quite an experience.
Pat McGrath Metalmorphosis 005 Everything Kit Contents

To start I decided to steer clear of the mixing medium because it scared me a bit too much so I went straight for some traditional swatching. And it was great! It was the kind of swatch session where I felt the need to mutter to myself about how beautiful the textures and pigmentation were, and I called people over to look…and they humoured me!

I started off by simply swatching the pigment of each shade with the cream of the same shade next to it. Here is the Gold duo, the Silver duo, the Bronze duo and then the Copper duo:

I am obsessed with the textures of the creams – they are like powder to cream and literally just melt upon contact with skin. Beautiful. The pigments are ultra-metallic and impressively gleaming. It was a lot of fun.

Next I got brave and played with the mixing medium! I put a little on my finger and then blended it with the Copper pigment. It turns into a super light texture yet densely pigmented liquid with a waterproof finish.

It is genius! This will be amazing for dipping a fine brush in and using as an amazing liner.
Also the Pat McGrath Metalmorphosis 005 Everything Kit is designed to layer for out of this world metallic intensity. You apply the cream and then layer the pigment on top and magic truly happens.
Layered here is Gold, Silver, Bronze and Copper:

These are just amazing. I can’t wait to get them on my lids. You can also use them on the lips and body, wherever you want, but I think I’ll be satisfied with the eyes for now.
The Pat McGrath Metalmorphosis 005 line is completely sold out on Pat’s website but it will be available HERE on 22nd November 2016. You can kit the Everything Kit I have for $165, or buy the individual shades for $60 each.
