OPI Color Paints Blendable Nail Lacquer Swatches

I have been having tonnes of fun with this new collection from OPI. It is all about semi-translucent, buildable lacquers that put a bit of nail art experimentation well within the reach of we ‘non-experts’. Here’s a look at the brand new OPI Color Paints Blendable Nail Lacquers.

So I didn’t get these at first because I jumped in and swatched them all before I read the press release. This is, in fact, a testament to what gorgeous shades they are because they are pretty beautiful all on their own. It wasn’t until I came across the silver base shade that I started to wonder about what the story could be with the OPI Color Paints. And the story is pretty!!

So basically there’s a stunning silver base shade which, once applied, illuminates each of the other shades applied on top. I think you’ll be able to see from little attempt that it is pretty effective. All the individual shades have a gorgeous glow already, and I have already been wearing the Chromatic Orange and Purple Perspective on their own before I understood the concept – so this really is a fab and versatile line up.

You can mix and blend colours, perhaps a little more skillfully than I have, or use them individually over the base coat, or all alone as luminous colour pops. Lovely!

I am absolutely loving these. As I said, lots of the shades work really well on their own but I love it because it’s nail art that I think I could actually do!!
