Ole Henriksen is launching a brand new range of three products and it is rather compellingly called Empower. There’s a cleanser, a moisturiser and a hand cream which all use the same innovative combination of key ingredients developed to tackle skincare issues associated with the very first signs of ageing. The product that has really piqued my interest is one I haven’t really seen anything like before, the Ole Henriksen Empower Foaming Milk Cleanser. A milk cleanser that foams? Oh yes it does!

So the Empower range is all about dealing with dullness, dehydration, fatigue, uneven skin tone and loss of radiance. It aims to work to strengthen the skin’s barrier and protect from free radical damage.

Ole Henriksen Empower Key Ingredients

  • Arctic Cloudberry – antioxidant rich Nordic berry protects & strengthens the skin
  • Nordic Cotton – packed with Omega-6 to calm & deliver weightless hydration
  • White Willowbark – gently resurfaces skin to get it glowing

I was so excited about this cleanser because I have never come across a milk cleanser before that has foaming capability.

  • Unique lightweight milk
  • Transforms into a creamy lather
  • Removes makeup and impurities
  • Protects skin’s natural moisture
  • Defends against free radicals

As much as I love an oil to cleanse, I often like a gentle foaming product to ensure any residue is thoroughly removed and my skin is a refreshed as possible. I don’t like anything stripping and so a milk cleanser that foams up sounds like literal perfection to me!

You simply massage one pump on to damp skin, work it into a creamy lather and then rinse. I used it to take off my makeup and SPF (plus a whole day’s grime from 30 degree London) and it removed everything with ease.

On the face, with regular cleansing action, it foams properly, much more than in my little hand demo.

I did a second cleanse with it just to be sure and the result was super clean and comfortable skin that was calm, smooth and soft. This is an instant hit for me.

Ole Henriksen Empower Foaming Milk Cleanser is £20 and launches in September 2015. Find it at John Lewis.
