I’m really getting into my skincare products lately and a new brand I’ve been introduced to is Odylique. Founded out of a need for natural based skincare for sensitive skin, it’s a real family affair as matriarch Margaret wanted to use her qualifications in aromatherapy and herbal medicine to help treat her family’s eczema and did so for over 30 years. Daughter Abi and husband Colin came on board in 2003 to create a handmade range of products to suit all skin types whilst avoiding allergens and being cruelty free.
Odylique Lemon and Tea Tree Purifying Wash

Their product range covers face and body, hair and even make up. I had a small sample of products to try. Lemon and Tea Tree Purifying Wash is a non-comedogenic wash off cleanser. Key features include;
- Active Ingredients include detoxifying lemon, antibacterial tea tree, rehydrating vitamin rich extra virgin olive and soothing mineral rich aloe juice.
- Properties include being Vegan friendly, Soil Association certified, packaging recyclable.
Suitable for combination/oily and problematic skin this is a wash off cleanser. It cannot be used around the eye area however. I’ve been using in the shower after using my Dermalogica pre cleanse to remove all my make up. I find this leaves my skin really clean but without feeling tight. It’s been in my shower for 2 weeks now and I’m using it daily. Find it here
Odylique Superfruit Concentrate

The next skincare product I tried was the Superfruit Concentrate. This oil is rich in anti-oxidant ingredients and can be used daily to hydrate skin or due to the natural tint as a little skin pick me up.
- Active ingredients include smoothing and cell renewing rosehip oil, protecting and repairing pomegranate, cell- regenerating and UV damage protecting sea buckthorn and hydrating and vitamin replenishing avocado.
- Properties are the same as the purifying wash.
I love using oils, oily skin like mine still needs oils to rebalance so are a vital part of a skincare routine. The scent from the Superfruit Concentrate was lovely and fresh but not overpowering. The tint can be quite noticeable so ensure you evenly apply. My skin was left lovely and soft which was noticeable even in the morning- I tend to use oils at night only. Find it here
Odylique Mascara

The last product I tried was actually from the organic make up range. I tried the Odylique mascara which is 100% natural and 88% organic. Emma Watson is said to be a fan of the smudge resistant deeply conditioning formula. There are no synthetic chemicals, preservatives or solvents. Lash conditioning ingredients such as organic herbs and plant waxes care for lashes whilst also being suitable for those who wear contact lenses as well as having sensitive eyes.
The wand is my favourite kind, the large bristle brush style. The tube is rather slim so the brush almost seems to grow bigger in front of your eyes, when you go to reinsert the brush you do have to be careful as it’s easy to bend the brush hairs due to the narrow neck. The formula is on the wet side and is available in black or brown.
One coat gave my lashes a nice natural look. It can be built to add more volume but it isn’t the most volumising or lengthening I’ve ever used but is great for an everyday natural make up. Find it here
In conclusion, I was very impressed with the quality of the Odylique products that I tried. Also I felt they represented great value for their price considering how they’re made in a small family run business. I look forward to getting my hands on more from this great company.
