Nina Ricci are launching two limited editions of their Luna and Nina fragrances in time for summer. Nina Ricci Les Gourmandises contain beautifully light summer fragrances in bottles covered in ice cream sprinkles! I’ve been trying them out.

Nina Ricci has been around as a brand since 1932 when it was founded by Maria Nielli. In 1941 the first fragrance Coeur Joie was launched and then in 1948 they launched their second, and possibly most iconic of all, L’air du Temps. I remember many of my female relatives wearing this growing up. One passing air of this and it reminds me of happy times.
2006 saw the launch of Nina and then Luna as part of the Les Belles De Nina line. There have been many variations of these two over the years and the latest is Les Gourmandises De Nina and Les Gourmandises De Luna.
Nina Ricci Les Gourmandises De Nina

Nina has a beautiful pink apple shaped bottle with a gold cap in the shape of apple leaves which beautifully accent the bottle, at the top of the bottle there are white and pink sugar crystals to recreate the gourmandise which they’re named after.

The Nina Ricci Les Gourmandises De Nina notes are:
- Top – Orange essence and Lemonade accord
- Heart – Maracuja Milkshake and Pina Colada
- Base – Gardenia and CaramalizedPralines

Nina Ricci Les Gourmandises De Luna

Nina Ricci Les Gourmandises De Luna has a gorgeous blue tone to it which screams sea to me and all of its gentle calmness. The cap features a beautiful gold stalk and leaf which is stunning to look at but does make me wonder how it would withstand being carried around in a handbag. The bottle has blue and white crystals.

The Nina Ricci Les Gourmandises De Luna notes are:
- Top – Pear Granite and Pink Grapefruit Cream
- Heart – Coconut Milk and White Peony
- Base – Sri Lankan Sandlewood and Caramel

I’ve been wearing both Nina and Luna at work and have received lots of compliments. I have found the staying power to be quite good. It’s great to know they last all day making them ideal to wear on nights out or on days when your bag doesn’t allow you to carry a full bottle of scent with you.
Nina has been more of a daytime fragrance for me and Luna has been a little more sultry for night time.
Both fragrances are perfect for both summer days and nights though.
