New cid makeup is a brand born out of a professional hair, makeup and photography studio. Founder Kelly Colman created the range after listening to women for over a decade saying that they found makeup shopping overwhelming with all the array of brands and products on offer. She wanted to help women achieve a professional makeup finish but with simple, easy to use, multifunctional solutions.

Having previously loved their i-colour cream eyeshadows I was very excited to try new products from the range. I was lucky enough to receive an i-prime with and i-perfection colour adjust foundation. I also received an i-bronze and powder brush.
All products come in a clean, white minimalistic packaging with silver font, or in silver packaging with white writing.

First up is the i-prime which is a light, gel-like consistency. It claims to not only improve the appearance of skin instantly but will allow foundation to glide on perfectly (even in those tricky areas) and stay on all day.
I certainly found this nice and smoothing when applying. It did a good job of smoothing my pores and I found my make up lasted well throughout the day, especially in my greasy T-zone.

The i-perfection unfortunately was not quite the right shade for me to trial properly. It is a colour adjust foundation and it very nearly blended but was a tad too yellow based for me. It’s a quite thin foundation so I would expect light-medium coverage with potential to build. I’d be interested to see how it wears if I can get the right shade.

The i-bronze is a beautiful multi tonal bronzer. Be aware it does contain shimmer, so you matte girls may want to stay away. Due to my lily white skin I have to be careful with bronzers but using the powder brush I achieved a subtle bronze glow. As this bronzer has pink blended in I decided to try on my eyes and it made a beautiful eyeshadow. With a pink blusher I think this brought everything together and made everything blend in nicely.

Last but certainly not least is the powder brush. OMG is this brush soft! I think it’s actually the softest of all my 50+ makeup brushes. It’s synthetic so great for my sensitive skin. It’s designed to apply powders with a light touch and to be honest I want another one of these beauties for my finishing powder.
New cid is a minimalistic but effective range and I look forward to trying more products- and hunting out another powder brush!
