I love a bit of Murad and so I have really been enjoying trying out their brand range – Murad Youth Builder Body. It’s a line of products that have been developed to strengthen, firm and hydrate the skin to give “your body back its youthful look and feel.” I am up for that.
So Murad are taking facial skincare approach to the body and they seem to have recognised that the face gets the biggest slice of the action when it comes to anti-ageing. Let’s not leave the trusty body out!
Dr Murad believes in the “whole person” approach, otherwise known as Dr Murad’s Inclusive Health philosophy. And I have to say Murad Youth Builder Firming Peptide Body Treatment really does genuinely feel like anti-ageing for the body. I have also been trying the Murad Youth Builder Detoxifying White Clay Body Cleanser, but I think the body treatment is my fave.
The lotion is just gorgeous to use. It melts into the skin like an oil, instantly hydrating and smoothing. It also smells beautiful – it has a light lemongrass scent so feels super fresh. It will be ideal for when things start to hot up. It also has bergamot and vetiver – I find bergamot really uplifting and mood shifting.
Murad Youth Builder Firming Peptide Body Treatment Formulation
- A transformative moisturiser-to-oil formula
- Absorbs quickly and hydrates skin fast
- Patented formula packed with peptides and antioxidants
- Boosts collagen production
- Protects elastin
- Improving firmness and tone
- Refine skin texture
- Glyco Firming Complex: a potent peptide blend rich in amino acids to visibly firm the skin
- Grape Seed Oil: features Omega-6 to deeply hydrate
I have been using this for about a week and I think that it has had a noticeable effect on my skin. It seems softer and smoother and I have found those creases down my cleavage first thing in the morning, from laying on my side at night (it’s a big boob thing!) much, much less noticeable.
Also my bum feels smoother and, another thing, those little bumps that I sometime get on the backs of the tops of my arms have completely vanished. That has a name doesn’t it? A quick google search has revealed ‘Keratosis pilaris’ – I think that’s it. Anyway, it has gone. Impressive.
Murad Youth Builder Detoxifying White Clay Body Cleanser
As I said, I have also been dabbling with the Murad Youth Builder Detoxifying White Clay Body Cleanser, which is also really lovely to use.
- Stimulating body cleanser that transforms into a rich lather
- Draws out impurities without drying the skin
- Kaolin: a white clay absorbs oil and impurities to deeply cleanse skin
- Ginger Root Extract: stimulates circulation
- Glycolic Acid: helps refine skin texture and improves radiance
I am actually wondering whether this has sorted the bumps on my arms, but I haven’t been using this quite as regularly so I am thinking that’s mainly down to the body treatment. They are definitely a brilliant duo.
There’s also a Rejuvenating AHA Hand Treatment in the range but I haven’t tried that.
The Murad Youth Builder Body range is available now at John Lewis. You can buy the Body Treatment for £36, the White Clay Body Cleanser for £30, or a gift set with all 3 products in the range for £39.50.
