I think we have established that I am totally obsessed with highlighter. You can check out the depths of my addiction in this post. I am always on the hunt for affordable highlighting products and so have been playing with the new MUA Luxe Strobe & Glow Highlight Kit, available online HERE.

So this is a simple little kit that is dedicated solely to highlighter with two different glow-giving formats in the same shade. If you are looking for an affordable palette with a range of tones, check out the Sleek Solstice compact.

It’s a very straightforward deal – a cream and a powder to give the skin glow.

The cream is definitely more highlight-y than the powder. In fact the powder is rather matte with just a little golden glow and yesterday I actually used it in place of my setting powder and it worked pretty well. I often like to set cream highlighter with a powder one, however, I found this one too matte for that and it kind of dulled down the glow that the cream gave.

The cream is pretty shimmery, so if shimmer is not your thing, then you won’t really like this. It does give the skin a good glow though and I think it is particularly suited to pale skin.

The MUA Luxe Strobe & Glow Kit is just £5 so it’s pretty good value for 2 products and I think I may continue to use the powder as a glowy setting powder from time to time. It is available to order online HERE. For a few pounds more, I prefer the Sleek palette for sure.
