Molton Brown are doing great things right now. I absolutely love their last launch, Milk Musk (review linked) and now I have a serious soft spot for this gorgeous sensual floral. Here are the details.
What’s in the Molton Brown Flora Luminare Collection?
The Flora Luminare eau de parfum and eau de toilette originally launched in September 2019. This summer Molton Brown wanted to put it back in the spotlight along with some gorgeous new ancillary products.

Flora Luminare Notes
This fragrance was designed by Maia Lernout, who was also the nose behind the gorgeous Milk Musk collection. Her inspiration was her fascination with what she refers to as the queens of flowers, the Tiare flower and the Ylang Ylang flower, originating from Madagascar and Tahiti. Maia believes that those fragrances are the paradise of flowers.
Eau de Parfum
- Top Notes – Milky bitter almond with mandarin, petitgrain and olibanum
- Heart Notes – Intense tiare absolute with neroli, jasmine absolute and rose absolute
- Base Notes – Earthy mate absolute with sandalwood, cedarwood and musk
Eau de Toilette
- Top Notes – Sensual orange blossom with mandarin and ylang-ylang
- Heart Notes – Heady tiare absolute with frangipani, jasmine absolute and rose absolute
- Base Notes – Nostalgic vanilla with cedarwood and musk
My Review
The two fragrances are quite different but both very lovely. The EDP is a headier affair, and I love the woody base which makes it feel warm and all encompassing. If you prefer to focus more on the floral elements of these compositions, then you may favour the eau de toilette. They are both lovely but the EDP is less sweet somehow, which is more ‘me’.
What I love about the Eau de Toilette is the freshness. It feels almost green in an earthy way. It’s super wearable and perfect for summer.
I am a big fan of Molton Brown shower gels and body lotions, and it’s such a decadent way to layer fragrance. What I am loving most is the beautiful new Glowing Body Oil which I love to apply straight out of the shower on slightly wet skin. It sinks in beautifully and leaves skin gleaming – ideal for summer glow.
