A year after its original launch, Michael Kors have followed up the Oriental floral gourmand ‘Wonderlust’ fragrance with a new version. Launching August 2017, the new fragrance takes up the Oriental woody genre and is called Michael Kors Wonderlust Sensual Essence. Here’s the low down.

I really liked the original scent and found it sexy and sophisticated, and really easy to wear. This is a juicier, fruitier version and features Nashi Pear and Black Cherry.
Michael Kors Wonderlust Sensual Essence Notes
- Top notes – Nashi Pear, Black Cherry, Peony, Pink Pepper
- Heart notes – Jasmine Grandiflorum Absolute, Orange Blossom Absolute, Orange Blossom Fir Abs
- Base notes – Cashmere Wood, Suede, Amber

Again, this is a very wearable fragrance and is light on the skin yet still makes an impact. I particularly like the dry down, which loses the initial fruitiness, and sits softly on the skin in a smooth, creamy way. I love the addition of amber and suede – the earthy, edgy notes are always my favourites.
Michael Kors Wonderlust Sensual Essence has the same bottle as the original – it is bold and chunky which I love, and features the ombre fade of colour, but this time in a berry accent instead of the peach.

I miss the unique Almond Milk note that the first fragrance features as it is so unique especially as its creaminess was set against one of my favourite fresh notes, Bergamot. I prefer the original (which you can check out here) but I think this one will go down well with those of you that love fruity notes – I think the cherry is done very well.
Michael Kors Wonderlust Sensual Essence starts at £46 for 30ml and launches 16th August 2017 here.
