01 Natural:

48 Sun Beige:

As you can see, it’s a mousse-y, whipped texture which reminds me of the Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation, the Bourjois Nude Sensation and also the Max Factor Whipped Creme. In terms of a high end comparison, it bears similarities to the Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint. In terms of skin type, I think it would be particularly well suited to oilier skins.
Maybelline Dream Velvet Soft Matte Hydrating Foundation Before & After
Before:

After (shade 01 Natural):

It delivers a lovely fresh finish to the skin that’s really skin perfecting yet natural looking. I didn’t set it with powder and it lasted on the skin really well. I made sure that I moisturised well first, as I feel that the texture could potentially cling to dry patches if you had any.
I think this is a great bargain if you’re looking for a softly matte foundation that still allows your skin to glow. Maybelline Dream Velvet Soft Matte Hydrating Foundation is currently £6.99 HERE.
