I have been having a play with the new Max Factor Miracle Contouring Palette and I really like it. It’s all about enhancing what you have with easy to blend shades and textures for a range of skin tones. I have photos and swatches right here for you to check out.
Max Factor Miracle Contouring Palette Features
So this is a universal palette that has been designed to flatter every skin tone and colouring.
- 8 shade palette
- Designed to suit virtually every skin tone
- Creamy soft texture allows for quick and easy contouring
- Formula is easily blendable and buildable
- Contour shades mimics shadow on the face
- Highlight shade adds more light and is used to emphasise the angular areas on your face that naturally catch light

Max Factor and makeup artist Caroline Barnes (who I love) have created a 3-2-1 technique to make contouring and highlighting really easy. You basically draw a ‘3’ with a contour shade around the temples, under the cheekbone and along the jaw, and then use the lifting shade in a ‘2’ around the eye and along the cheekbone. The final step is to use the lightest shade down the bridge of the nose to finish the look.
This isn’t about harsh, unnatural looking contour but a product that enhances your natural features in an easy to use format.

As you can see, the texture is smooth, creamy and blendable. You can use fingers or a brush and I find this easy to layer and build to get the look you want. You can set lightly with translucent powder or intensify the look by setting with powder contour and highlight. It’s a really versatile palette and nice and slim, so easy to travel with.
