There’s a brand new and rather lovely Max Factor campaign in partnership with Boots that’s all about harnessing the power of makeup in your own way to feel that little bit more glamorous. Here’s the low-down on the Max Factor #BeMoreYou Campaign and event, and how you can get your own personalised lipstick.

I know that the whole ‘makeup is power’ thing is an often over-used concept and can sometimes be cliché, but I genuinely believe in how life-changing it can be. When I have spent some time over skincare and makeup, I feel more comfortable making eye contact with people, feel more confident when I communicate and even been brave enough to approach someone I had never met before to talk about a common interest. The #BeMoreYou campaign has been created to showcase how we can use makeup to give you that little boost you need. It’s not about covering up, but about highlighting what you have. Make sure you check out this Power of Glamour video where you’ll see what a good red lip can do for someone! You’ll see Gemma, a mum who embraced her dreams of becoming a singer, with the help of make-up.

When I first started my blog in 2010, I was a bit scared of a red lip because I didn’t think my lips were full enough. Now I realise how much more powerful some well applied colour can make me feel, and actually, I do like my lips after all.

#BeMoreYou party in Boots Piccadilly 14th July 2016

Max Factor and Boots have got quite a few things on including hosting a #BeMoreYou party in Boots Piccadilly on 14th July 2016 from 6pm until 9pm. I shall be there so please come and say hello if you’re nearby. You will be able to take advantage of free makeup consultations and one of my ultimate women crushes, makeup artist Caroline Barnes will be there too. There’ll be a calligraphy artist there so you can have your very own personalised lipstick.

#BeMoreYou Competitions

From the 18th July, there’ll be a competition where you can win a Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick with your name engraved on the gold case. I love mine – certainly something to treasure.  Also planned is a competition to win online makeup consultations with Caroline Barnes and her team from Saturday 9th July to Tuesday 12th July.
