Last night I went along to thelaunch feeling rather cynical about it and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The advertising campaign is very Gucci meets Hugo Boss and is beautifully shot by Joel Anderson, so straight away it has a fairly expensive feel. Say hello to Mr Wright and Mrs Wright.

Mark Wright Fragrance – Mr & Mrs Wright |
When I spoke to Mark he told me that he wanted to do something really different to the normal celebrity fragrance approach.
He said that he felt that often celebs release scents that they think the customer will like, rather than what they would wear or like to smell on someone close to them.
Mark said that this fragrance is “all about me” (!) and by all accounts he and the team have worked very hard to capture eau de Mark! Adam Minto, of FB Beauty, said that Mark had been the most demanding and challenging celebrity to work with so far – but in the best possible way of course!
And it does seem that Mark has been rather involved in the process and very particular about how he wanted Mr Wright and Mrs Wright to smell. He is by no means a technical expert, proven rather obviously by his lack of lingo – “I kept on going until I got the last bit of note” – but in all fairness he really doesn’t have to be. He just has to know how he wanted the fragrance to smell and work with the team to translate his ideas into reality.
The packaging is rather impressive too. I particularly like the men’s bottle which is heavy glass with a sophisticated magnetic cap.
