When Marie Reynolds makes a product, I instantly want it because she is a skin genius. So, as you can imagine, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the brand new Marie Reynolds FACE Pro Vitamin A Night Oil. It is an active product yet perfect for sensitive skins, and if you have struggled with Retinols, you should check this out.
To give you a bit of context – if I have a skin emergency, Marie is the one I call, and I know I am not alone. I often call her on behalf of others too. She just knows her stuff. I want to say she is the ‘White Witch’ of skin and wellness, but I don’t want to put anyone off! Anyway…
What is Marie Reynolds FACE Night Oil?
This is a multi-tasking night facial oil that has been formulated to heal, rejuvenate, moisturise, soothe, nourish, and brighten the skin. Absolutely everyone can use this, even the most sensitive skins. And if you have scarring, you’ll want this.
- Combination of Buriti, Rosehip, Passionfruit and Apricot oil
- Rich source of pro Vitamin A
- Packed with antioxidants & non-irritating bioactive agents
- Calms, soothes and support the skin’s lipid barrier
- Dry oil texture that instantly absorbs into the skin
- Ideal medium to aid scarring
Pro Vitamin A & Retinol
The keys thing about Pro Vitamin A is that, in our bodies, it is converted into the retinol form of vitamin A. This way you get the skin renewing, line smoothing, cell rejuvenating benefits of a Retinol without the side effects of a harsh topical product, i.e. no peeling, redness or iflammation. Yay!
The Pro Vitamin A has a slow release action and is therefore kinder to the skin and less likely to cause any reactions. Whilst active, the formula is able to support the skin’s lipid barrier and the all-important Microbiome.
Marie is a leading expert in the Microbiome field and you can read more about that and skin in general on her blog.
This is a 100% clean formula and contains:
- Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) kernal oil
- Mauritia Flexuosa (Buriti) fruit oil
- Rosa Canina (Rosehip) fruit oil
- Passiflora Edulis (Passionfruit) seed oil
- Tocopherol (Vitamin E)
- Helianthus Annus (Sunflower) seed oil
As I predicted, I love this oil. It feels beautiful on the skin – light but nourishing, it sinks in really well and doesn’t leave any greasy feel. After using it, I woke up with calm, smooth, hydrated skin that just looked happy. I have been eating pretty badly for the past few days, which usually makes my skin reactive to new products, but it loves this oil. Obsessed.
You can also use it for day, which I totally plan to do because it absorbs so well and leaves my skin looking juicy.
Where to buy Marie Reynolds FACE Night Oil
This new Pro Vitamin A Night Oil is incredibly well priced at £37.99 for 30ml and is available at Marie Reynolds London.
Congrats Marie. It is another amazing product.
There is also a beautiful copper wand for better absorption of products, increased lymphatic drainage and anti-inflammatory action. It’s the perfect accessory for anyone who is serious about skincare.
