The great news for beauty loving UK dwellers is that Marc Jacobs beauty has now launched and is available in store and online. Having never tried any Marc Jacobs makeup (what kind of beauty blogger am I?!) I was very excited to try this new addition to the line up. Here’s the low down on the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara.

So first off, this is a beautiful looking mascara. The packaging is so gorgeous and it feels really nice to hold which I think is pretty important for a mascara and not quite as meaningless as my usual obsession with luxury packaging!

I really love the fluttery, dense look that this gives my lashes. It is very lengthening and creates a very flattering shape, with a curl that really lasts. It doesn’t feel at all heavy and lasted all day without a single smudge. It’s a very good mascara.
