The highlighter obsession rages on and I have found a new travel-friendly option in the gorgeous Marc Jacobs Glow Stick Glistening Illuminator. The Glow Stick! Isn’t that the best name ever? And if cream highlighters are your thing then you need to check this out. I am more of a powder girl as a rule, but I am really liking its dewy goodness. Here it is. UPDATE: buy it in the UK here

The Marc Jacobs Glow Stick is all about delivering a dewy pay off to the skin, and it really is dewy in a very skin flattering way – like you just have skin like that, and yes, you really are that gorgeous! You can achieve a really natural looking glow with this.

Although I applied it by swiping it straight on to my skin and then blending it in with my fingers, I think it may be better to swipe from the stick with your fingers and then tap it in to the skin. As well as on top of the cheekbones, it works really well down the bridge of the nose and cupid’s bow, and anywhere else you want to light to bounce off.

I used it on top of my matte Marc Jacobs Full Cover Foundation in Ivory and it lit everything up. I think that this highlighter is for those of you that are into a more natural, dewy, healthy skin look, rather than anything really obviously highlighted. Saying that, you can really build this up. Plus, if you set this with a powder highlight, and I would use BECCA’s Moonstone, then this would take everything to strobe dimensions. To get uber-glow, I find that it is definitely about layering a powder product on top of a cream.
