Skincare reviews are a tough cookie as it’s so personal so, before I plough in let me give you the quick lowdown on my current skin type. I turned 30 last year, and have noticed that my skin has been on the ‘turn’ ever since. Typically oily pre 30, I found that my skin has started to dry out and more and more pesky fine lines around my eyes were starting to surface. Constantly on the lookout for the prefect skincare I couldn’t wait to try out some of the products from Manuka Doctors new range; Drops of Crystal.

The Manuka Doctor Drops of Crystal Skincare range contains youth-activating Crystal Tears (a precious oil) from the Pistacia Lentiscus tree; a protein which slows down ageing. It claims to help the skin feel plumped, firmer and appear lifted, and combined with Manuka Doctor’s usual concoction of Purified Bee Venom and Manuka Honey, my skin was going to be in for a much-needed treat.
Manuka Doctor Drops of Crystal Skincare – Cashmere Touch Serum
The claims:
- A unique formulation of ‘oil-in-serum’.
- After one application skin feels firmer and more revitalised.
- Clinically proven to reduce wrinkle depth, increase skin firmness and elasticity in just 28 days.
- In 28 days, facial contours will appear more defined and the overall complexion more younger looking.
Some very bold claims, and so I put this to the test for 28 days, morning and night (I have never been so loyal).
When you pump the serum out it has a firm texture, like a gel. However, when you start to smooth it over the skin it behaves like most serums I have used before; an oil/fluid consistency.
It absorbs super quickly into the skin but what I noticed was that it didn’t absorb and then disappear. My skin felt instantly hydrated and bouncy as it had claimed. It is worth mentioning that is does have a very strong antibacterial-esque smell upon application, but this dissipates and becomes quite pleasant.

Manuka Doctor Drops of Crystal Skincare- Cashmere Touch Cream
Benefits:
- A silky soft age-defying formula.
- After one application skin feels firmer, more radiant & silky smooth
- In 28 days’ skin appears plumped, feels firmer, complexion more younger looking and fine lines refined.
- Clinically proven to increase skin radiance after just one application.
Like the serum, I used this for 28 days, morning and night and like most skincare routines, applied the serum first and then the cream.
The formula of the cream is incredibly light, especially for an anti-ageing product. When applied to the skin it evolves into a gel like thickness. Like the serum, it’s easily absorbed but the hydration remains locked into the skin.
The smell of the cream is much like the serum, but softer, however it tends to linger longer on the skin. I don’t really suffer from much redness or pigmentation, but I am pretty pale with a very strong cool undertone and I did find that this evened out my complexion. Find it here

I have to admit, I am pretty impressed. There are some fairly bold claims for these products and I do feel like they deliver on most. I haven’t noticed a significance improvement in my fine lines and wrinkles, but I have noticed that my skin feels more hydrated and smoother and it retains the hydration for longer. This has not only helped with the pesky dryness at this time of year, but also with my oil production on my t-zone. And the best bit, the Drops of Crystal range is what I would call a mid-range price point, so if you can invest in some of the range I don’t think you would be disappointed.
It is however worth mentioning that if you are allergic to bee stings then this isn’t suitable for you and if you can, always try and test beforehand to ascertain if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
