I have been so excited to feature this new foundation from MAC because I have been getting so many questions on it and it seems there’s quite a lot of enthusiasm around the fact that natural skin is coming back into fashion. MAC Next To Nothing Face Colour is all about barely-there makeup and a beautiful glow. I have before and after photos for you to check out right here.
Although I appreciate this move towards more natural looking makeup, I have to say that I do love a full coverage foundation. I think it’s because I am not a huge fan of my freckles and always fantasise about a flawless, poorless porcelain complexion. Funny how everyone loves your freckles but you!
I met with the MAC team last week, and had a play with the product. Because I like a fuller coverage product they actually used Next To Nothing as a kind of ‘top coat’ over Studio Fix. The glow effect was amazing! In this post, I’ll show it to you on its own.

Before & After Photos
I was matched to shade Light which is the fairest shade. I love to choose a skin base on the lighter side of my skin tone as I like the brightness that it delivers.

I absolutely love the light, balmy texture of this. It is quite different to anything I have used and has a very cushiony gel-cream consistency that melts into the skin and feels nourishing and soothing. It gives the skin a soft and sheer glow that’s super youth-boosting and flattering.
Because I like a bit more coverage, I added some MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NW15 under the eyes and on any visible redness. It’s a great concealer.
For the rest of my makeup, I used the new NARS Sun Wash Diffusing Bronzer in Laguna on cheeks and eyes and theBalm blush in Balm Springs. I also discovered the perfect highlighter for pale skin whilst I was at MAC – the Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade. It is incredible. Lips are MAC Whirl liner and Honeylove matte lipstick. Lashes are the Louboutin Mascara (£55!!!!).
I am abolsutely loving MAC Next to Nothing – rather a lot more than I thought I would. It costs £27 and is available HERE now. I think certain shades will sell out fast so be quick!!
