This is a MAC palette with a difference and I have never really seen one from the brand like this before. It is one of four newbies that have launched as part of the MAC Girls collection. Here’s a look at the brand new MAC Mischief Minx Palette which features an all-new eyeshadow formula. I have photos and swatches of all the shades for you to check out.
This is interesting because if you removed the MAC branding from this palette, I don’t think I’d know it was MAC. So either MAC is changing to meet its new customer, or the lines between different products are really starting to blur. Either way, it’s a gorgeous palette with some absolutely beautiful shades.
MAC Mischief Minx Palette Features

It is right up my street for sure. Each of the MAC Girls palettes have a different vibe for a different type of personality. I only have Mischief Minx, but looking at all of the shades across the collection, this is definitely the one I’d pick.
- Eight powder eyeshadows – new formula
- Finishes across Satin Shine, Smooth Pearl, Foiled Shadow and Creamy Matte
- Creamy, silky texture and intense colour payoff
- An opalescent highlighter – new formula
- Highlighter provides instant radiance

The warm tones of this palette are so gorgeous and I am loving the new formulation.

MAC Mischief Minx Palette Swatches

- Mischief Minx – Bright orange frost (Satin Shine)
- V Frisky – Muted gold (Foil)
- Flaming Femme – Darkened clay red (Creamy Matte)
- Been There, Done That – Darked brown with gold pearl (Satin Shine)

- Natural Tease – Bright yellow gold frost (Foil)
- She-Nanigans – Reddish copper frost (Foil)
- Schemer – Dark brown (Creamy Matte)
- Totally Trouble – Blackened purple (Creamy Matte)

- Stride Of Pride – Golden rose highlighter (Opalescent)

It is a very pretty palette and if you like warm, rich, bronzey tones, I think you’ll love it. I really like every single shade and the only one I might not use so much is Totally Trouble as it’s a lot darker and deeper than I like to go. The highlighter, Stride of Pride, would make a beautiful glowy blush shade on my fair skin tone. It would make the perfect highlight on slightly darker skins.
I am really enjoying the new formulation – it is smooth, creamy and very well pigmented. It is good to see MAC upping the ante when it comes to product quality. As a cult brand, it can be easy to sit back on your laurels, but this looks like they are ready to take on the ever increasing competition within the makeup industry.
