I was so keen to take a look at the MAC Makeup Art Cosmetics Collection because I think it’s such a meaningful collaboration for a brand whose roots are firmly planted in artistry. MAC has teamed up with three iconic makeup artists to create colour collections that exemplify each of their signature styles. I have a few pieces from the collection to share with you with swatches. Enjoy! Find it here
MAC Makeup Art Cosmetics Collection – Kabuki
This collection contains quite a few different products including Retro Matte Liquid Lipsticks, Crystal Glaze glosses, Paints and Eyeshadow quads. I have the extremely pretty Dazzleshadow quad called the Shining Hour. If you like a bit of sparkle, you will fall for this immediately.
I have swatched the shades first dry, then wet:
I love these shades! The fourth one is like a super shimmery version of Club, one of my first MAC loves. I found there was a bit of fall out when used dry but I loved them dampened.
MAC Makeup Art Cosmetics Collection – James Kaliardos
I have three items from the Kaliardos collection – a lipstick (£16.50), a tricolour lip gloss (£18) and the Jumbo Penultimate Eye Liner (£16.50).
This is the lipstick in Jasper which is a gorgeous deep reddish brown in the satin finish:
Tricolour Lip Gloss – Stratagloss Opalite:
I have never tried one of these glosses before – this one is sheer light pink with gold and blue.
I love the Jumbo Penultimate Eye Liner. I am so not good at eyeliner but I find this one really easy to use:
MAC Makeup Art Cosmetics Collection – Diane Kendal
From the Diane Kendal collection, I have the MAC Studio Quiktrik Stick (£27) which is very exciting because I have been desperate to try out one of the Quiktriks. This is the Sheen / Smouldering colourway with a light pinkish champagne highlight and a matte brown contour.
The texture is gorgeously creamy and easy to blend. I love the Diorblush Light & Contour stick which is pretty similar to this, however, I think I prefer the shades and blendability of this Quiktrik Stick. It’s so lovely and very easy to use.
