MAC Betty Boop Red Lipstick Review & Swatches

Oh I do love a matte red lipstick so I was super keen to get my hands on the brand new MAC Betty Boop Red Lipstick. Apart from the fact that Betty Boop is a serious icon, I think MAC does a red lip in the best way possible and their best-selling reds have earned iconic status all on their own. I love the packaging of the box, but I was so sad that the tube hasn’t been Boop’d at all and it is just the standard MAC packaging. That’s a bit of a shame I think. But moving on from that, I really do love this red.

MAC Betty Boop Red Lipstick is described as a bright true red. One of my fave MAC reds is Russian Red (it was my first ever MAC lipstick) and this is in that same tone category – a blue-red that’s very flattering on my skin tone.

Love it. Again, it’s such a shame that MAC didn’t do anything with the tube packaging because it’s not very often that I keep a box and without it, it looks like any other MAC lipstick. Surely Betty warrants a special tube? I think they’d sell loads more if they had given the packaging the full treatment.
