Lord & Berry Timeless Kissproof Lipsticks

It seems every brand is releasing liquid lipsticks these days and they are very much a love/hate type of product. I personally love them, as long as they’re not too drying and have great longevity.

I’ve tried my fair share of liquid lipsticks and the matte finish is definitely my preferred option. The only downside is that they can seriously dry out your pout.

Lord & Berry is a Milan based cosmetics company that has become more widely known over the past few years. In that time, I’ve tried the odd product here and there but I was excited to try their new Timeless Kissproof Lipsticks! By highlighting ‘timeless’ and ‘kissproof’ in the product name, Lord & Berry are certainly setting themselves a high level of expectation.

The formula for the Lord & Berry Timeless Kissproof Lipsticks is a mix of slightly whipped and liquid which applies with little to no effort. The long doe-foot applicator allows you to use either side for a precise application without the faff. The shades appear true to colour and glide onto the lips with maximum opacity.

You can layer the product without it becoming patchy or overly drying. Though I found upon re-applying more than twice that it felt considerably heavier, but not uncomfortable, on the lips. When eating and drinking, there is a distinct difference in the amount of product left on the lips with the majority of the inside of the lips requiring reapplication. This doesn’t bother me as they apply so nicely and with such little effort that it is not frustrating at all.

In terms of a ‘kissproof’ formula, I can’t confirm this due to a severe lack of kissing but there is no residue or slip to the product upon drying. Drying time is approximately 10-15 seconds and you’re left with a flawless matte finish with zero bunching or bleeding.

Lord & Berry Timeless Kissproof Lipsticks – First Lady

I have three shades in total, all varying shades to show a good overview of the line. First Lady is a a mid to dark toned 90s brown which has a flattering sheen through it. Of all the shades, this is the one that I wanted to suit me but worried it wouldn’t. Thankfully, I immediately fell in love with this grungy, yet wearable shade. Those 90s shades don’t often suit me but I have loved wearing this one.

Lord & Berry Timeless Kissproof Lipsticks – Brave Red

Brave Red is a true, bright red that is extremely flattering on the lips. If you’re a red lip lover, this will be one you immediately gravitate towards. It’s a gorgeous shade that I can definitely find myself reaching for when I feel like pretending I’m from the bygone golden years of Hollywood.

Lord & Berry Timeless Kissproof Lipsticks – Pop Pink

Finally, Pop Pink is a beautiful and vibrant fuchsia shade that is perfect for the warmer months. It will look amazing with a tan and it reminds me of some of my forgotten lipstick shades. I used to wear bright pink shades all the time but I’ve been more nude lipstick focused of late.

These are a lovely formula which I found pleasantly surprising and which far surpassed my expectations. I think these are definitely one of my favourite formulas. Find Lord & Berry Timeless Kissproof lipsticks here and here
