Lola is a brand I had often seen in Marks and Spencers and was intrigued to try. Billed as a cruelty free makeup brand for makeup artists, Lola makeup is professional standard makeup made available to the British public.

Lola by Perse makeup is designed to be used on the catwalk, and I’m up for bringing a bit of model glamour into my life. I have Highlighter Powder in shade 02, Face and Body Bronzer in shade 02, Matte Long Lasting Lipstick in 105 Minx and Satin Eyeshadow in shade 034 to try.

The packaging is nice quality, simple and chic- Matte black plastic compacts with clear lids bearing the Lola logo.

Lola by Perse New Summer Glow Makeup- Face and Body Bronzer in shade 002 £19

The first thing that springs to mind when I clapped eyes on the Lola bronzer was “Wow, that’s big”, Its like a saucer of bronzer. It is for the face AND body, so that explains the size. The Lola bronzer is enriched with Tyrosine, which is meant to enhance the skin’s natural tanning process and simultaneously protects from sun damage with spf 15. Lola Face and Body bronzer is warm toned and flattering. It is fine milled to make light work of blending. A few light sweeps over the high points of my face and I look healthy and sun kissed. Lola by Perse New Summer Glow Makeup- Highlighter Powder in Shade 02 £12

Lola highlighter in 02 is a light gold highlighter in a warm tone. It gives quite an intense gold glow. It is best suited for mid to dark toned skin, I would think. The highlighter powder contains vitamin E and innovative pearl technology. It gives a nice glow, and it’s soft and blendable. Find it here

Lola by Perse New Summer Glow Makeup- Matte Long Lasting Lipstick in 105 Minx £12

Minx is a light pink shade, sort of what you might describe as bubblegum pink. It definitely benefits with some lip liner to act as a base. The shade is little light for me, it sort of looks like I’m not wearing lipstick. A bit of liner in a deeper colour and it’s sorted, you can use Minx as a highlighting shade when contouring the lips. It lasts reasonably well, it will transfer when drinking. Find it here

Lola by Perse New Summer Glow Makeup- Satin Eyeshadow in Shade 34 Golden £10

I have been using Lola eyeshadow in Golden on the daily since I got it. It gives a pretty gold highlight to the lids or the inside corner of the eyes. It lasts well with just a little creasing at the end of the day when worn over the whole lid. I’ve been using it with my Urban Decay Heat palette, which lacks a gold shade. Find it here

Here is a full face look using the Lola Makeup products, I think you’ll have to agree  it creates a warm glow look which is great for an end of summer/ early autumn look.

This was my first foray into Lola by Perse Makeup, I had no preconceptions and I was pretty happy with the products I tried. I think some of the shades were a bit wrong for me and would suit a different skin tone better, but I would definitely be happy to try more from the brand.
