If you like simplicity and high performance when it comes to makeup then you just may like this. Birchbox have launched their first in-house makeup brand and it is lovely. LOC Makeup is a super concise collection of eyeshadow sticks and lip crayons. Take a look!

So the premise behind LOC Makeup is to provide two seasonal trend led edits of makeup per year, when new shades and products will be introduced. It’s all about connecting the beauty customer with highly pigmented colour products that reflect current trends. Birchbox have recognised that trends in beauty change fast and that the lipstick you buy this week may not be one that you will repurchase for years to come.

The LOC Makeup collection will react to trends and will swap new shades and products in and out to ensure it is always relevant. The price points reflect this need to change up your look when you want.

LOC Makeup One & Done Shadow Sticks

I love these eyeshadow crayons – they are totally my colours and so easy to use. The shades are called Champagne Problems (a silvery taupe) and Perfect Cents (warm copper).

Birchbox subscribers can choose which shade they would like in their February Box until 28th Feb. Perfect Scents is the one I would pick but apparently Champagne Problems is the most popular one so far. I think that’s down to the brilliant name!

LOC Makeup Vibrant Matte Lipstick

So we have 3 lovely shades that tick the boxes. A soft pinky beige nude – Skinny Dip, a cool-tone blue based red – Trouble and Uncorked which is a berry plum. It’s a perfect capsule collection.

The formulation is creamy and comfortable, yet delivers a long lasting finish.
