I have been utterly obsessed with this Laura Geller Baked Marble Eyeshadow Duo since the makeup artist in the Birchbox Store in New York put it on me! I needed to know what it was and whether I could buy it!! I could. And I did. It is amazing!

Pretty isn’t it? So the shade duo I have is called Rome/Milan and it is a split dome of shadow. Rome is a warm golden beige shade and Milan is purple-aubergine. I think they are absolutely beautiful.
Laura Geller Baked Marble Eyeshadow Duo – Rome Milan Swatches

They are really pigmented so the colour pay off is great – these swatches required just the lightest touch. The 2 colours work so beautifully together. Although Laura Geller suggests putting a wash of Rome over the lids and then defining the lash line with Milan, I find that a mix of the 2 colours is just stunning.
I swirl a fluffy over the whole palette and then just sweep it over the lid. I adore the effect!

It is just so easy to do, looks so pretty and just lasts and last. It stay smooth and creaseless even without primer and in the sweltering heat. Impressive! Apparently you can also use it wet for extra intensity and impact. I am definitely trying that!
If you’re in the US you can order the Laura Geller Baked Marble Eyeshadow Duo in Rome/Milan from Birchbox. I bought it in store for $24. Birchbox UK stock some limited Laura Geller products but I think the widest UK selection can be found at QVC.
I am not the most skilled at eyeshadow and tend to find the whole thing a bit daunting, so if you’re like me, I couldn’t recommend this more. Oh and if you’re interested – the mascara I am wearing in this shot is the new Max Factor Clump Defy Extensions.
