I’ve been using the Larry King Ride or Die Texture Spray for several weeks now and it has quickly become one of my most-used styling products. What I love most about it is how it sits somewhere between a dry shampoo, a texturising spray and a lightweight hairspray.

If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know that I’m quite particular when it comes to hair products. I don’t wash my hair every day and I absolutely cannot be dealing with anything that leaves my hair feeling sticky, heavy or overloaded with product. The latest addition to my styling lineup is the Larry King Ride or Die Texture Spray, and I can confidently say it has become one of those products that I reach for every single day.

What is Larry King Ride or Die Texture Spray?

The Larry King Ride or Die Texture Spray is a lightweight styling spray designed to add texture, volume, movement and flexible hold to the hair.

Unlike some traditional texture sprays that can feel dry or gritty, this has a really soft, airy feel. It creates that effortlessly undone texture that makes hair look fuller and more interesting without making it feel overloaded with product.

It’s suitable for all hair types and can be used on freshly washed hair or between washes to revive and refresh your style.

Key Ingredients

Panthenol – Vitamin B5 helps keep hair feeling soft, smooth and manageable while adding moisture and shine. It’s a nice addition in a styling product because it helps counteract the dryness that some texture sprays can create.

Luviskol Plus – This styling polymer helps deliver volume, hold and texture while keeping hair flexible and brushable. It gives the hair structure without making it crunchy or stiff

Dowsil – This ingredient helps absorb excess oil while creating light texture and body. It contributes to the fresh, airy feel that makes this product so easy to use between washes.

I absolutely love this product. The first thing that struck me about the Larry King Ride or Die Texture Spray was how light the mist is. The spray mechanism is excellent and distributes product evenly throughout the hair without ever leaving visible residue.

You know how some texture sprays can leave white marks or patches if you’re not careful? That doesn’t happen with Ride or Die. The formula is incredibly lightweight. You don’t feel like you’ve applied anything, but somehow your hair just looks better.

One of my favourite ways to use the Larry King Ride or Die Texture Spray is on my fringe. It gives it a little extra texture and control and helps it stay where I want it to without looking stiff or sprayed into place. It gives my fringe enough grip and movement to behave itself while still looking soft and natural.

I also use it through the lengths of my hair. It instantly adds movement and separation and helps create that effortless, slightly undone look that I’ve really been loving recently.

What really sets the Larry King Ride or Die Texture Spray apart for me, however, is the lack of buildup. As someone who only washes their hair around once a week, this is hugely important.

Many styling products feel great on day one but become heavy and unpleasant after repeated use. That’s simply not the case with the Larry King Ride or Die Texture Spray. I can use it every day between washes and my hair still feels clean, soft and touchable. It layers beautifully without becoming sticky, crunchy or gunky.

Honestly, that’s probably my favourite thing about it.

The Fragrance

Another thing worth mentioning is the scent. It smells absolutely gorgeous. The fragrance feels sophisticated and luxurious rather than overly sweet or overpowering. It’s a warm, woody fragrance built around notes of smoky cedarwood, soft moss and amber. It’s rounded out with cashmere musks that give it a smooth, soft finish, while subtle smoky accords add depth.

It leaves the hair smelling fresh and expensive without competing with perfume, which I really appreciate.

How I Use Larry King Ride or Die Texture Spray

I’ve been using the Larry King Ride or Die Texture Spray in two different ways:

On Freshly Washed Hair

After styling, I lightly mist it through the mid-lengths and ends to create texture, movement and a more effortless finish.

Between Washes

This is where the Larry King Ride or Die Texture Spray really shines for me. I spray it through my fringe, around the crown and through the lengths of my hair to bring everything back to life. It adds volume and body without making my hair feel dirty or overloaded.

Is Larry King Ride or Die Texture Spray Worth It?
