Gorgeous rose gold is the theme of the Lancome Christmas 2018 collection and some of the brand’s icons have had the most beautiful makeover. There’s La Rose a Pourdrer Highlighter, a great eyeshadow palette and more. Here are all the details with swatches.

This really is such a treat! I was slightly baffled by the Rose highlighter (I mean actual rose!) because it took me a while to realise that each petal holds the highlighting powder. It’s very unique!

The packaging is just stunning. I am totally obsessed.

I have never seen the Rose highlighter from Lancome before but apparently the pink version debuted in the Spring 2017 collection, which I didn’t cover for some reason. This time it is rose gold and even prettier. From what I can tell, the original rose sold out in a flash and I think this one will too.

To apply, you sweep your brush over the petals and then dust onto the skin. Possibly to most extra way to highlight ever! Love it.

La Rose A Poudrer Highlighter

As I said, each petal holds the highlighter and the rose gold finish is suitable for all skin tones:

Eyeshadow Palette

This is a really impressive palette with so much going on.  There are thirteen different eyeshadows across a range of tones and finishes.

There are matte base colours all the way to ultra glittery top coats. It was a real joy to swatch and all the shades are soft and intensely pigmented.

L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick

There are three shades in the most beautiful rose gold packaging with flecks of gold sparkles. If you like to pull out major purse candy whilst topping up your lip colour, these are for you!

The shades are 132 Caprice, 264 Peut-Etre and 368 Rose:

Even when they are the simple black, I love the packaging of these lipsticks. You simply click the rose and the tube springs open for you to slide out the lipstick. It’s all very satisfying! The rose gold and sparkles make them even more special.
