There’s a new L’Oreal mascara in stores and I have been giving it a whirl. They really know their mascara game and this new launch is rather interesting. Here’s the L’Oreal Paris False Lash Sculpt Mascara – I have the product low down, alongside before and after photos.

L’Oreal Paris False Lash Sculpt Mascara Features

So this is being dubbed as much more than a mascara, and actually a lash sculptor. This resonates with me because the kind of mascaras I love are the ones that feel like you can place your lashes wherever you want and they stay – that is sculpting lashes to me.

As you apply the mascara, the wand has been designed to press on the waterline and fill in between the lash roots, like a liner. The inner bristles sculpt out, define and stretch every lash for an extreme fanned-out lash look.

I absolutely love what this mascara can do in just one coat (right side). The tight-lining idea definitely works – the lash line is filled in as you apply which gives the appearance of a much fuller lash. The brush combs out the lashes beautifully and you can place them exactly where you want and they stay there.  I definitely prefer the look of one coat, rather than two coats. The extra coat added a lot of extra volume and looked a little clumpy I thought. But to be fair, with such brilliant results from one coat, you simply don’t need a second. It’s a real time saver.

It lasts really well – my lashes still looked fanned out and defined at the end of the day, and I didn’t notice any flaking or smudging at all. All good!
