Here’s a little more detail on a couple of the ingredients.
Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil
This is derived from cold-pressed Hemp Seeds – the hemp variety of the Cannabis sativa plant – sourced in Germany. It makes up 60% of the composition and gives the oil it’s natural green colour. It helps to improve the skin’s barrier, reduces visible redness, and relieves discomfort.
Green Oregano Oil
This extract comes from the flower of the Oregano herb and offers antioxidant and antiseptic soothing properties. It is great for purifying problem skin.
How To Use Kiehl’s Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil Herbal Concentrate
You can use this super light oil twice a day and massage a few drops on to clean skin, either straight on, or after your serum. You can then apply heavier products. If you are a fan of Midnight Recovery, use it after the Cannabis oil.
My Review
Whilst I don’t have blemish prone skin, I do suffer from redness around my mouth and chin especially after cleansing. I have been slotting the Kiehl’s Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil Herbal Concentrate when my skin is sensitive for almost 6 months and it’s a great addition to my routine. I find it very calming and soothing, and it is such an easy texture to get along with.
It’s super light, sinks into the skin really easily and doesn’t leave a greasy look or feel. Once applied, it doesn’t even look like you have used an oil which will be great for those that are a little scared of oily textures. It has a really nice aroma – fresh and zesty, so if you’re looking for a calming, anti-inflammatory oil, and the turmeric of the Sunday Riley CEO Glow Oil is too much for you, then I definitely think you should try this out.
At the launch, I saw before and after photos of someone with extremely inflamed skin that had been using the oil twice daily for one week. The transformation was incredible. Even if you don’t have problem skin, it’s a great oil to have in your kit for those SOS times.
