Juvia’s Place is a brand I have been wanting to try for a while now after hearing so many beauty YouTubers rave about the palettes. One of the main things that was putting me off purchasing the palettes was customs and shipping as it ended up working out costing more than the palettes themselves. But Beauty Bay to the rescue! They are quickly becoming my favourite place to shop for all things beauty and as of July 2017, they stock Juvia’s Place!

Juvia’s Place has a really great colour selection of palettes available from warm neutrals to bright and bold shades. One thing I absolutely love about this brand is that they are cruelty-free and I have never tried eyeshadows quite like these before. I have honestly never been so impressed with any eyeshadows pigmentation as much as I have been with these. All of the palettes available at Beauty Bay are £28 each and I think this is a great price point, especially for the quality.

Juvia’s Place – The Magic Palette

The Juvia’s Place Magic Palette isn’t something I would usually go for as I am very boring when it comes to eyeshadow but if you love a bright eyeshadow look, I think you will really like this! This palette comes with 16 eyeshadows, all with massive pans and has a good mixture of cool and warm tones. You can apply these shadows wet or dry. However, I don’t think you will honestly need to apply these wet as they are already incredibly intense. The shades included in this palette are:

  • Nubia: Metallic Yellow Gold
  • Zakiya: Matte Orange Toned Red
  • Osun: Pale Metallic Pink
  • Kesi: Matte Beige
  • Zuba: Metallic Medium Pink
  • Nana: Matte Orange Toned Brown
  • Boronu: Metallic Bronze Gold
  • Kogi: Matte Red
  • Faso: Duochrome Lilac
  • Aja: Metallic Khaki Green
  • Vai: Metallic Dark Grey
  • Yemoja: Light Metallic Grey
  • Ife: Deep Matte Purple
  • Yara: Metallic Turquoise
  • Buzo: Metallic Green
  • Yejide: Matte Navy

My favourite shades from this palette are Kesi, Nana and Boronu as these are shades I always find myself using for an eye look but I have loved using Buzo on the lower lash line to add a pop of colour to the eyes. This is one of the bigger palettes from Juvia’s Place so it isn’t something you could easily travel with. You can find the Juvia’s Place Magic Palette here.

Juvia’s Place – The Nubian Palette

If I were an eyeshadow palette, I think it would be The Nubian. This is every warm toned shadow lovers dream palette and I can see myself using this palette most days from now on. This palette is the perfect size to travel with and includes 12 gorgeous eyeshadows. The only shade missing from this palette for me is a brow bone highlight shade but other than that, there are so many different looks you can create with this palette!

This palette has eight metallic/shimmer shades and four matte shades perfect to use for transition shades and creating a deeper eye look with. Just like The Magic Palette, this palette is super pigmented. This palette is great for me as I know all of the shades work well together so I never have to think too much when it comes to creating an eyeshadow look. This palette can easily take you from day to night. Find it here

Both of the palettes I have been testing are incredibly pigmented while being so easy to blend and not at all patchy on the eyes. I don’t often use eyeshadow primer but these shadows you really don’t even need it. They are very long-lasting once applied and don’t crease or fade throughout the day. The quality of these shadows is outstanding for both the matte and metallics as both formulas are very pigmented. I usually find with matte shadows that they aren’t as pigmented as metallics but that isn’t the case with these palettes. All of the shades in both palettes are very smooth and all of the swatches are just one swipe each.

Both of these palettes retail for £28 each and you can find them, in addition to other Juvia’s Place palettes, here.
