Julien Farel Vitamin Restore Review – Anti-Ageing Haircare

I am all about the haircare. Love the stuff! So I was desperate to try out Julien Farel Vitamin Restore which promises to be a 3-in-1 anti-ageing haircare treatment with no need for shampoo and conditioner.

I have actually taken rather well to the cleansing conditioner or co-wash trend, and this Julien Farel product is like one of those but on steroids! Before I go into the product, I’ll give you a quick bit of background.

Julien Farel – The Man & Brand

Julien Farel, the man behind the brand is actually a celebrity stylist and owns the Julien Farel salons in New York and a few other key US cities. Julien has been looking at the anti-ageing aspect of haircare for a number of years and after pursuing 5 years of research with a renowned Italian scientist specialising in Hyaluronic Acid and Anti-Ageing ingredients, he launched his product line in 2011.

Research focused on developing a brand new approach to the way we look after our hair and the way we view haircare in general. The approach targets the issues of dehydration on 3 levels – the follicle, scalp and hair

Julien Farel Vitamin Restore Formulation

A superfood for hair; this product has been formulated to treat coloured or chemically treated hair and it works to replenish essential Vitamins B, C and E, hydrate and moisturise the hair and also provide anti-ageing protection against damage from free radicals in the environment.

The formulas contain powerful skincare ingredients including Hyaluronic Acid, Resveratrol,  Bioflavonoids and Echinacea Stem Cells, combined with a super effective delivery system. Julien Farel Vitamin Restore – How to Use

This is pretty easy to use. You simply apply it all over the scalp on dry hair including the hair line (I use the nozzle to section) and then spend a minute massaging it onto my scalp before getting in the shower.

Once I get in the shower, I add some water into the mix, massage it some more, brush it through with my Tangle Teezer Aqua Splash and then rinse it out really well. It is key to do a thorough rinse – so once I think all the product is rinsed out, I rinse it one more time! You don’t need any other products.

Julien Farel Vitamin Restore Review – After 1 Use

I just dry and style my hair, I use light heat protection but nothing heavy or oily and my hair immediately seems thicker, stronger and healthier. It is quite incredible to see such a good result after one use.

Here’s the first time I used it – there’s no other product on my hair and I simply left it to air dry.

I have been using this every other time I wash my hair and I just love what it does.

If you are looking for a super gentle, ultra nourishing hair treat that delivers instant results, then you really can’t beat this. My only word of warning would be to go lightly on styling products and leave-in treatments after you have used it because you really don’t need them. One of the times I use Vitamin Restore I got carried away and used an oil on damp hair, and it was just too much. It’s the perfect one step.
