When it comes to removing unwanted hair, us ladies have a few options. We can pluck, shave, wax or laser the hair away. However all of these come with their own downfalls. Waxing is painful, plucking is awkward, shaving can lead to cuts and laser hair removal is expensive. But, there’s another way – bleaching with products like Jolen Creme Bleach.
Rather than remove the unwanted hair completely, Jolen Crème Bleach lightens any dark or excess facial or body hair. As it doesn’t affect your skin colour, it’s kind but effective in lightening the dark hairs.
You can use Jolen Crème Bleach on most areas of your body, from your top lip to your big toe. Lots of people use this bleach to lighten their eyebrows if they have very light hair, or use it to lighten any dark baby hairs around their hairline or on their top lips. Personally I used it to lighten the dark hairs on my arms. As a naturally dark brunette I have quite dark hair on my arms and I hate it. I’ve tried epilating and waxing the area and both times couldn’t stand the pain. I know, I’m a wimp, which is why I love the idea of bleaching the hair.
Inside the pack you get the powder and the crème that you need to mix together, plus a tray and spatula. Obviously before using the product you’ll need to do a patch test and leave it 24 hours. Once that’s done you wash the area that you want to bleach, then dry it. With a spatula measure about ¼ teaspoon of the powder and place on the tray. Clean the spatula and then measure about ½ teaspoon crème and mix well. You then apply the mixture with the spatula to the area covering the hair completely and leave for 10 minutes before rinsing.
I found this crème bleach to be really easy to use and although I had to leave it on a little longer than 10 minutes I was really happy with the results. The dark hair on my arms appeared lighter and it has lasted a good three weeks, so far.
Have you ever used a crème bleach before?
