Oh my goodness this is so amazing! I absolutely love everything that Jo Malone has been doing of late. This is truly a brand that doesn’t stop moving and really knows how to adapt with the times. Speaking of which, it’s British times that the Jo Malone Rock the Ages Limited Edition Collection is celebrating!

The aim for Jo Malone Rock the Ages was to create a collection of fragrances that capture the atmosphere of some of those defining moments in our history. Scent is so much about memory, experience and emotion, and what better way to remember and celebrate a unique and iconic age than to evoke the drama, atmosphere and character of that time.  I love this.

Tudor Rose & Amber – inspired by the heraldic Tudor rose with spicy clove. opulent rose absolute and the warm sensuality of amber. Rich, sumptuous.

Lily of the Valley & Ivy – Embodying Georgian Britain, an initial note of green ivy in complemented by a lavish heart of delicate lily of the valley. Captivating, ethereal.

Pomegranate Noir – Capturing Victorian Britain, luscious pomegranate is layered with heady Casablanca lily and sensual guaiacwood . Dramatic, intense.

Geranium & Verbena – Edwardian Britain epitomised. Aromatic verbena is blended with refined and crisp geranium. Clean, herbaceous.

Birch & Black Pepper – Britain today. A scent of contrasts; the cool spiciness of black pepper with smoky birch. Individual, audacious.

Now I have Lily of the Valley & Ivy and Birch & Black Pepper. Lily of the Valley & Ivy is a beautiful soft yet fresh floral, but Birch & Black Pepper is my favourite! I don’t know if it has anything to do with the fact that I am seduced by its ‘nowness’ (probably!) but it is a stunning scent that is soft and spicy and smoky all at the same time, and the perfect size to keep in my bag for thoroughly modern moments all the time!

The Jo Malone Rock the Ages Limited Edition Collection will be available in March 2015. Each cologne is 30ml and costs £42. I think this will appeal to so many people – the hardcore Jo Malone London fans, the patriots, the fan of the British Isles and the romantic historians. Perfect!
