There’s a brand new fragrance from Jo Malone London and if you enjoy warm sensual scents with a soft vanilla twist then you should check it out. Here’s the lowdown on Jo Malone Myrrh and Tonka Cologne Intense.
This is the seventh edition to the cologne intense family and I am really liking it a lot. It’s another fragrance that uses almond which I definitely think can be called a trend now. It is a fairly sweet scent, but not in a sickly way at all. One spritz packs a good punch and it lasts and lasts on my skin.
Jo Malone Myrrh and Tonka Cologne Intense Notes
It was created by Master Perfumer Mathilde Bijaoui with the aim of conjuring up an ‘atmosphere of addiction and carnal richness’.
- Top Note – Lavender
- Heart Note – Omumbiri Myrrh
- Base – Tonka Bean, Vanilla & Almond
The lavender works really well with the warm notes in the composition and as it wears it becomes super soft and skin-like. The Tonka Bean gives it a lovely creaminess that the sweetness of the almond sits really well with. To me it is floral but not overly lavender-y. There’s a little burst of it at the beginning but I don’t think it’s enough to put off anyone with an aversion to lavender, when the richness and warmth of the Omumbiri Myrrh, harvested in Namibia, takes over.
Where to buy?
