It’s time to get excited for the lovers of deep, woody and smoky scents because Jo Malone London have created a really wearable, sensual take on a unique type of incense recreated from Oman. The result is Jo Malone Incense & Cedrat and it is absolutely beautiful.

This latest addition to the Cologne Intense line up was created by master perfumer, Marie Salamagne, using a high tech recreation of Omani incense.
Incense has been harvested from the Boswellia sacra tree for six thousand years and passed through generation to generation and the Boswellia sacra is becoming threatened. So Jo Malone used high tech NaturePrint technology to capture the scent and then recreate in the lab using natural ingredients.

Although deep and smoky, it is still very Jo Malone, as it uses a special quality of incense that isn’t too dark or traditional but is in fact extremely luminous. If you are looking for an alternative to Oudh, which we see rather a lot these days, then this Omani incense is it!
Jo Malone Incense & Cedrat Notes
Elemi, lemon, pepper, cypress, labdanum, benzoin.

The Cedrat is a genious addition to this Incense fragrance. It is a very refined, green and floral citrus note which adds a beautiful freshness to the warmth and woodiness of the cologne. The fragrance is aromatic with a modern, bright feel and I think it’s a real triumph. I’d wear it myself and I also think it would be amazing on men. Really sexy and smoky and sensual.
Jo Malone Incense & Cedrat Cologne Intense is out in June 2015 and costs £110 for 100ml. The gold adorned bottle is a Harrods exclusive.
