Exciting news from the Jean Paul Gaultier camp is that there’s a new women’s Classique fragrance coming. In July 2014, we will welcome Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Eau de Parfum Intense and I have my hands of a preview bottle right now!!

Perfumer Francis Kurkdijan revisited the original Classique made in 1993 and studied each accord. He then set to work on “a new look to a story that started more than 20 years ago”. This reinvention of Classique was quite a task to take on especially as it was not his creation in the first place. However, I think he has done a beautiful job and when I first sprayed Classique Intense to test it, about five minutes later, my boyfriend commented on how lovely it was. That is always a good sign – why else do we wear fragrance?
Described as  “Bright, intense, solar, oriental”. This is a seriously sexy floral – It opens with Tiare, Jasmine and rich gourmand notes. The heart of Orange Blossom then takes and takes you back to the original Classique – super feminine and sensual.  The base has the familiar Classique vanilla but this time tempered with patchouli which is one of my favourite earthy notes. It gives it depth and a sexy darkness that I really love.

The bottle is absolutely stunning. A beautiful gold creation with tinges of soft pink. Never has the JPG corset looked more decadent. It is completely dreamy.
Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Intense will launch in Boots from 23rd July 2014 and will then be available nationwide from 28th July 2014. It will be £60 for 50ml and £80 for 100ml. Fans get on your marks!
