One of my favourite skin bases ever is the IT Comestics CC Cream – both the original and the Illumination formula. The latest addition to the line up is a matte version. Here’s a look at the new IT Cosmetics Oil Free Matte SPF 40 with before and after photos.
IT Cosmetics Oil Free Matte SPF 40 Features
Now what I love about the IT Cosmetics CC is the glow it gives the skin and because I love a shiny skin finish, the original and the Illumination products are always going to be my favourites. However, I understand that some people prefer a more matte finish, especially if they have an oily skin type, so I thought some of you would be interested to see how this looks on the skin.

- Available in 12 shades
- Natural-looking matte finish
- Reduces the look of your pores & wrinkles
- Full-coverage foundation enhanced with anti-aging skincare benefits
- Brightens and colour corrects the skin
- Features SPF 40 UVA/UVB broad-spectrum sun protection
- Provides long-wear coverage
- Camouflages skin imperfections without creasing or cracking
- Enriched with charcoal, tea tree extract, colloidal clay & Moroccan lava clay, & an anti-aging serum

What’s really interesting about this new launch, and actually quite beneficial to me is that they have diversified the shade range. In the original formula, I had to mix shade Fair and shade Light to get my match, and the IT Cosmetics Oil Free Matte SPF 40 actually has a Fair Light shade that works really well on my skin. I hope they roll out the news shades across the full range.

And now the best part – what it looks like on my skin!

Although I’m not a big matte finish advocate, I do actually like the look of this on my skin. Whilst it’s definitely not as glowy as my favourites, it isn’t a flatte matte, and it does good things to my enlarged pores. This would possibly be one I’d go for if I was expecting a long day where I wouldn’t be able to retouch or top up.
I think it will be great for oily skin, and of course those of you that prefer a velvet matte finish.
