One of the newest launches from Illamasqua is a beautiful new primer designed to mattify the skin, and it is here just in time for summer. Here’s the low-down on the Illamasqua Matte Veil.

Here’s a look at the Matte Veil packaging. Like Illamasqua Hydra Veil, it comes with a little spatula for hygenic use:

The texture is absolutely dreamy – a super light cream-gel – and in spite of the fact that this is a mattifying product, it actually feels super refreshing and hydrating on the skin. Here’s the science:
  • Butyelene Glycol dissolves the skin’s overactive oil levels whilst retaining moisture in the skin
  • Hyaluronate further hydrates the skin keeping it feeling healthy and balanced
It instantly mattifies the skin, controls shine and extends the length of wear of your foundation and makeup. I simply patted it over my skin with my fingers and it sinks in comfortably and quickly, leaving the skin plump and hydrated and ready for makeup. It also smell amazing – gorgeous vanilla!
Illamasqua Matte Veil costs £30 for a 30ml pot and is available from 8th May 2014.
