When I saw that Huda were launching two new masks, I knew I had to test them! Check out the brand new Huda Beauty Wishful Mask range – the Chin Lift mask and the Thirst Trap sheet mask. I have been trying them out – here are my thoughts.
Update 7th May
You can buy both the new masks individually, so if you want to try them out, there isn’t a massive outlay. There’s a full face one, and also a jawline and neck one. They both use very different formats – keep reading for all the details.
What is in the Huda Beauty Wishful Mask Range?
The new masks include:
- Thirst Trap Cocoon Mask – Hydrating Sheet Mask £8
- Chin Lift Sculpting Sheet Mask £8
Both masks claim to be suitable for all skin types and are really easy to use. One of the main questions I have had since featuring on instagram – is the Huda Chin Lift re-useable? The answer from the brand is no, but I reckon you could try for another use if you kept the clear plastic to stick back on. The hydro-gel is still very moist after one use.
Huda Beauty Wishful Thirst Trap Mask Review
So this mask is all about treating dehydrated, thirsty skin to a fast hit of hydration. It is pretty different to most sheet masks I have tried and I really enjoyed using this.
- Made from a unique double-layer-fibre technology
- Format of the mask allows it to hold more of the vitamin-rich essence than conventional sheet masks
- Mask swells on the skin to aid production absorption
- Aloe Vera and Sodium Hyaluronate soothe and hydrate
- Hollyhock Rose acts an an anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial & anti-acne agent
- Allantoin and Niacinamide brightens and protects
- Caffeine depuffs and energises
I absolutely loved using this mask. It feels instantly cooling and soothing on the skin, and the unique, almost bubbly texture of the mask itself clings beautifully to the skin. It makes it feel like it is working hard to get the ingredients to penetrate the surface of the skin.
How To Use It
It’s easy to use. You simply tear open the pack, slip out the mask and unfold it. You need to remove the protective film and then place and smooth the sheet over the skin. You’ll need to leave it on for a minimum of 20 minutes, although you can do longer if you’d like to as the mask stays lovely and wet (but not drippy) and doesn’t dry out on the skin.
I left the Thirst Trap Cocoon Mask for about 30 minutes while I relaxed and when I removed it, my face felt plump and hydrated, really soothed and comfortable and it looked lovely and bright. The following day, my skin still looked nice and glowy, so I’d say this is definitely this is a great mask to try if your skin is feeling a little lacklustre and dehydrated.
Also, if you did want to move around while you wear this, you definitely can because it stays in place really well. Plus, it leaves skin in a great place for makeup if you wanted to wear some, because it makes it ever so slightly (yet comfortably) tacky and makeup grips perfectly to it.

Huda Beauty Wishful Chin Lift Mask Review
I was very excited to try this because I absolutely hate my jawline and neck!! It is one of the things I am most self conscious about, and the reason that I tend to wear my hair down all the time.
The Chin Lift Sculpting Sheet Mask promises to be a facial workout that makes your chin look toned and sculpted. It will take a lot more than a mask for this to happen for me, but I was still keen to give it a go.
So this is a completely different format to the Thirst Trap mask. It is fabric with a hydrogel layer that sticks to the skin to infuse the active ingredients. It uses a unique lifting tape made of a woven cotton material that’s traditionally used for athletic tape and has been designed to mimic the elasticity of your skin for a strong yet comfortable hold.
- Unique combination of Adenosine, Peptides and Niacinamide
- Invigorating peppermint oil provides a cooling sensation & also helps to tighten the skin & calm redness
- Adenosine helps to energise and moisturise
- Peptide – Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 attracts hydration and supports in the appearance of lifted skin
- Niacinamide works to tighten, improve sallowness, and reduce the appearance of fine lines
How to use the Huda Chin Lift
The instructions for this one say to remove the mask from the pack, peel off the plastic protector and then give it a stretch. I think next time I will skip the stretch as I think it would work better on me if the fabric was more taut.
You place it under the chin first and then pull it up and under and hook it over the ears. It feels instantly cooling and a tiny bit tingly, and on a warmish day, this was very welcome.
I left the mask on for about 40 minutes – it says at least 20-30, and I found it really comfortable once I got the ear holes right!
I think the results on this one are slightly harder to judge because if you hate your neckline, you hate your neckline! It definitely felt firmer, and more hydrated, and the skin looked smoother. However, it was hard to tell if it had done a lot of sculpting. I think maybe it looked a tiny bit more defined, and after all, they recommend continued use for lasting results.
I was certainly very impressed with the improvement in texture and instant reduction in the crepey quality of my skin. The Chin Lift is definitely something I’d be keen to include in my weekly routine for sure.
Apparently tests show that you can get a lift for about three hours, so definitely a good one to try for a special occasion? An indoors special occassion I know…
