My Review
- Pointed doe-foot makes application easy
- Creamy texture is soft and comfortable
- Colour is long lasting even after the cream has worn off
- Flattering soft focus finish
- Full coverage colour
The Hourglass Velvet Story Lip Cream is a really nice lip product. I love the soft and creamy texture on the lips. This dries down a little, but still has that nice slip that keeps the lips feeling comfortable.
There is some transfer on the mask, whilst the creamy feeling is still there, but it’s not too problematic. Once the creaminess has worn away after a few hours of wear, and eating and drinking, the colour stays. This is particularly the case with the rosey shade I love the most, Pure.
I think less is more with this lip cream. I like to apply quite a small amount on to the lip by scraping off some of the product as I pull out the applicator, and then work it in to the lips with the doe-foot and my fingertip.
You get a lovely diffused look this and way, and much less transfer. Also any colour left on your fingertips after applying works really nicely as a matching blush.
My favourite shades are Pure which is a lovely rosebud shade, and Touch, which is a pinky nude. My least favourite shade is Luxe, which is a bit deeper and seems to have a heavier, less smooth texture.
